We're always looking for some excuse to drive our cars, and we'll try to keep up with posting area events here that you might be interested in cruising to.

Sometimes our club members will gather and drive to some of these events as a group, or we may just meet there. Feel free to contact us to see if we're cruisin together and if you might be able to join us. Check out a few photos and some details of some Past Events that our club has taken cars to.

Take a drive out to the country this weekend and show off your ride at the Car Show in the Country!

The car show invites all to come out to the Independence schoolhouse from 8 to 11 a.m. to see a variety of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles on display. 

New this year is a tractor division.

Registration for the car show is $25, but anyone can attend for free. 

The first 50 participants will receive a free t-shirt, and breakfast items will be available.

Funding raised from the event will support the continued renovation of the schoolhouse.

Registration Check in time for Show Vehicles
From 08:30-11:59 am you can check in, register for your vehicle to be judged.
If you come in after 11:59 am you may park in show area with paid registration fee
as space allows but will not be judged due to time restraints
but 100% of the registration fee will go to Hospice of South Texas.

Hot Rod Fall Fest

Featuring all makes and models from all years.
The festival is hosted by the Champions Gateway Hot Rod Car Club and Spring-Texas Classic Cars.

Entry is $35, but the event is free to the public.
Proceeds will benefit the Tomball Lodge Scholarships Fund.

Attendees can expect food trucks, a DJ, giveaways, and a 50-50 drawing.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in four categories:
Original, Traditional, Modified, and Open, for both two and four wheeled vehicles.

Special guest Norman Hooten, known for his role in “Black Hawk Down,” will be present.
He will also showcase his bourbon and cigar brands, Hooten & Young.

The event is sponsored by National Ammo Disposal, Lift-All, PostNet-Champions,

In Bastrop, Texas, we hold our veterans in the highest regard.
That's why we host the annual Bastrop Veterans Weekend Cruise-In, Veterans Tribute Ceremony, and Car Show, a beloved tradition that brings the community together to celebrate our heroes.
Cruise down historic Main Street and admire classic cars, or join the Veterans Tribute Ceremony for a heartwarming commemoration.

In 2024 we had approximately 400 vehicles on the car show field, with an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 attending the event, over the weekend, as spectators. 2025 will be the 19th year for the car show and Veterans’ tribute event!

Along with the Saturday car show there is a Veterans’ Tribute ceremony honoring those who have served or are currently serving our country in the military. On the Friday night before the car show there will be a Cruise-In on Main Street in Downtown Bastrop. The City of Bastrop, VisitBastrop.com, and many Bastrop businesses strongly support this event and welcome all visitors to our historic downtown and surrounding areas.

Well over 75% of the proceeds from the event go primarily to many local & central Texas Veteran support organizations. The remainder goes to automotive technology scholarships for several Bastrop County high schools and to other local charities (food pantries, homeless resources, children’s organizations, etc.).

Festivities begin on Friday evening AT 5PM with the Cruise-In on Historic Main Street in Downtown Bastrop, TX.
Come hang out as we watch classic cars roll into town.
This is a great opportunity to snag photos of your favorite car and talk to the fine folks displaying them.

Saturday, November 8
Saturday's Car Show begins bright and early AT 7:30AM. This event is expected to attract 400 cars to be displayed along our historic downtown Main Street, side streets & parking lots.

*Please note, you must pre-register in advance of the car show.
There is NO day-of-event registration.
