Kolache Festival Street Rods & Classic Car Show

Attend the annual Kolache Festival on the square in downtown Caldwell.
Admission is free and you’ll enjoy lots of attractions and homemade kolaches.
The opening ceremonies begin at 9am under the polka pavilion (located on Fox St.) It includes the crowning of Miss Kolache Festival followed by the SPJST youth beseda dancers.
They’ll still have all the fun activities that you have come to love like the kolache eating contest, kolache baking championship, a 5K Kolache Krunch run and of course POLKA music.
Plus, they’ll have quality arts and crafts and food booths,
an amazing quilt show, museums,
Street Rods & Classic Car Show,
antique machinery and tractor show,
and kids' activity zone.

Colorado County Fair & Rodeo Car Show

The event features 23 vehicle classes and a free kids class.

The festival is hosted by the Champions Gateway Hot Rod Car Club and Spring-Texas Classic Cars.
Entry is $35, but the event is free to the public.
Proceeds will benefit the Tomball Lodge Scholarships Fund.
Attendees can expect food trucks, a DJ, giveaways, and a 50-50 drawing.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in four categories:
Original, Traditional, Modified, and Open, for both two and four wheeled vehicles.
Special guest Norman Hooten, known for his role in “Black Hawk Down,” will be present.
He will also showcase his bourbon and cigar brands, Hooten & Young.

In Bastrop, Texas, we hold our veterans in the highest regard.
That's why we host the annual Bastrop Veterans Weekend Cruise-In, Veterans Tribute Ceremony, and Car Show, a beloved tradition that brings the community together to celebrate our heroes.
Cruise down historic Main Street and admire classic cars, or join the Veterans Tribute Ceremony for a heartwarming commemoration.
In 2024 we had approximately 400 vehicles on the car show field, with an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 attending the event, over the weekend, as spectators. 2025 will be the 19th year for the car show and Veterans’ tribute event!
Along with the Saturday car show there is a Veterans’ Tribute ceremony honoring those who have served or are currently serving our country in the military. On the Friday night before the car show there will be a Cruise-In on Main Street in Downtown Bastrop. The City of Bastrop, VisitBastrop.com, and many Bastrop businesses strongly support this event and welcome all visitors to our historic downtown and surrounding areas.
Well over 75% of the proceeds from the event go primarily to many local & central Texas Veteran support organizations. The remainder goes to automotive technology scholarships for several Bastrop County high schools and to other local charities (food pantries, homeless resources, children’s organizations, etc.).

Festivities begin on Friday evening AT 5PM with the Cruise-In on Historic Main Street in Downtown Bastrop, TX.
Come hang out as we watch classic cars roll into town.
This is a great opportunity to snag photos of your favorite car and talk to the fine folks displaying them.

Saturday's Car Show begins bright and early AT 7:30AM. This event is expected to attract 400 cars to be displayed along our historic downtown Main Street, side streets & parking lots.
*Please note, you must pre-register in advance of the car show.
There is NO day-of-event registration.
