Anna's 1983 Mercury Cougar LS

Anna's Cougar is a pretty special car. It was a wedding present from her husband.

Originally ordered from Boriack Motors in Bellville by a local resident and delivered on 5-10-1983, Ed drove it as a daily locally for 10,707 miles. Ed's early passing resulted in it sitting dormant in his parent's country garage.

In 2019 Ed's mother came to the conclusion it was time to have someone else enjoy it. Shortly afterwards the necessary mechanical work was done by Brandon to get it driveable, and a lot of elbow grease on the interior by Anna herself got it presentable. It became a nice-day-only driver and has been taken on trips comfortably as far away as Oklahoma. And yes, the original AM/FM 8 Track works just fine.

It's an early 5.0 EFI car with an AOD and optional heavy duty suspension still wearing it's original Dark Charcoal Metallic with clear coat, red pinstripes, black vinyl rear half luxury top with red cloth sport seats. The 15x7 Enkies that were favorites of the Fox body Mustang crowd add a little period correct flair. Even with the car's flaws it presents itself well as a survivor of the early 80's.
